He also served as a Deacon at the First Baptist Church, offering his guidance and support, embodying the true essence of faith and service.
James cherished the simple joys in life, relishing summers spent at Astro World and treasured camping trips at Toledo Bend with family. Those summer days were filled with laughter and love, painting memories that will forever remain etched in the hearts of his loved ones. He was a passionate fan of LSU, sharing his enthusiasm with those around him, and he found joy in outdoor activities such as hunting and fishing. A generous giver, James was known for his selflessness. He had a profound love for his family, and nothing brought him more happiness than being a doting grandfather. His grandchildren were the light of his life, and he poured his heart into creating unforgettable moments with them. His gentle spirit, paired with a vibrant sense of humor, made him not just a father and grandfather, but a true friend to those fortunate enough to be in his presence.
