VILLE PLATTE It is with great sadness that the family of Irvin Sylvester, 79, announces his passing on Thursday, July 22, 2010. A mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, July 24, 2010 at 1:00 PM at St. Peters Catholic Church in Grand Prairie. Burial will follow in the St. Peters Cemetery in Grand Prairie.
A loving father and brother, Irvin will be lovingly remembered by his son Bubba Sylvester of Erwinville, and three brothers Paul Sylvester of Erwinville, Bobby Sylvester of Baton Rouge, and Glen Sylvester of Baton Rouge.
He is preceded in death by his parents Ulysse and Dorsena Deshotel Sylvester and one brother John Roy Sylvester.
The family request that visiting hours be observed Saturday, July 24, 2010 from 9:00 AM until time of services.
