Ville Platte Funeral services for Mr. Inell Joe Johnson, 75, will be held Friday, January 2, 2009 at 11:30 a.m. in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Evangeline Memorial Cemetery. Fr. Gene Tremie will officiate the services.

Mr. Johnson, a resident of Ville Platte, died Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at his residence. He retired with Pitre Ford Company after 35 years of service.

A loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great grandfather, he is survived by his wife, Bethenel G. Johnson of Ville Platte; two sons, Kohn Johnson and his wife, Mary and Lance Johnson and his wife, Angela both of Ville Platte; one daughter, Cynthia J. Williams of Ville Platte; two sisters, Julia Ortego and Georgie Fuselier both of Ville Platte; five grandchildren, four step grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Pearl Johnson and one grandchild.

Family request that visiting hours be observed Thursday, January 1, 2009 from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m. and on Friday from 7 a.m. until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
