VILLE PLATTE It is with great sadness that the family of Hubert Ortego, 67, announces his passing on Sunday, March 27, 2011 at Prairie Manor Nursing Home. A mass of Christian burial will held Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Our Lady Queen of all Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte. Burial will follow in the Gates of Heaven Cemetery with Father Mario Romero celebrant.
Hubert was a well known car salesman in Ville Platte for many years. A loving father, grandfather, and brother, he will be remembered by his son, Scott Ortego and wife Jennifer of Ville Platte, two daughters Tina McClelland of Ville Platte and Holly Ortego of Houston, Texas, two brothers Harold Ortego and John Ellis Ortego both of Opelousas, and three grandchildren Justin Corkran, Lauren Ortego, and Daniel Ortego all of Ville Platte.
He now rests in heaven with his parents Zim and Aldier Lavergne Ortego.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Monday, March 28, 2011 from 10:00 AM until 9:00 PM and on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 from 6:00 AM until time of service. A rosary will be recited on Monday evening at 6:00 PM.
