VILLE PLATTE-Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, March 24, 2007, at the First Baptist Church in Ville Platte for Mr. Houston Fontenot, Jr, 73, who passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2007 at the Ville Platte Medical Center.

Interment will follow in the Ferguson Cemetery in Bayou Chicot with the Pastor Kevin West officiating.

Survivors include his wife, Lillie I. Fontenot of Ville Platte; three sons, Darrel Keith Fontenot and wife, Linda of Opelousas, Gary Wade Fontenot and wife, Karen of Ville Platte, Mitchell K. Fontenot of Ville Platte; a daughter, Karen A. Fontenot of Pine Prairie; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren.

His parents, Houston Sr. and Rosa Mae Fontenot, precede him in death.
The family request that visitation hours be observed from 3:00 pm until 11:00 pm on Friday, March 23, 2007at Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel in Ville Platte and again on Saturday, March 24, 2007 from 8:00 am until time of services.
