Ville Platte Funeral services for Hester Fontenot, 89, will be held Thursday, October 4, 2007 at 10am in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Mausoleum. Fr. Gene Tremie will officate the services.

Mrs. Fontenot, a resident of Ville Platte, died Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at 12:40am in Heritage Manor Nursing Home.

Survivors include one son, Eugene Shelton Fontenot and wife, Joan of Ville Platte; one brother, Hilton Lafleur of Ville Platte; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Shelton S. Fontenot.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 3 from 5pm 9pm and on Thursday from 8am until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 7pm Wednesday.

In memory of Mrs. Hester Fontenot memorials can be made to the Sacred Heart Foundation.
