Ville Platte Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Chapman, 79, will be held Sunday, November 2, 2008 at 1:00 pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Old Ville Platte Cemetery. Father Tremie will officiate the services.

Mrs. Chapman a resident of Ville Platte died Friday, October 31 at Opelousas Health System.

A loving mother and grandmother, she is survived by 3 sons Ferryl Chapman and wife Stephanie of Prairieville, Derral Chapman of Ville Platte, and Chris Courvile and wife Christina of Ville Platte, one daughter Cindy Courville Fontenot and husband Dave of Vidrine, 9 grandchildren Alex and Troy Chapman, Alicia and Gabe Couville, Jason and Cody Chapman, Brittany, Ryan, and Adam Fontenot, and 2 great grandchildren Jarred and Hannah Chapman.

Mrs. Chapman is preceeded in death by her husband Jimmie Chapman and her parents Amelica and Amie Fontenot.

Visitation will be held Saturday, November 1, 2008 from 10:00 AM until time of service on Sunday. There will be a rosary Saturday, November 1 at 6:00 pm.
