Ville Platte It is with great sadness that the family of Hazel Brignac, 82 announces her passing on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at Ville Platte Medical Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Friday, November 27, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will follow in the Old Ville Platte Cemetery in Ville Platte with Fr. Mario Romero Celebrant.

Hazel will be remembered by one son, Gerald Fontenot and wife, Charlotte of Ville Platte; one daughter, Merline Fontenot of Bunkie; one sister, Glori Miller and husband, Harold Sr. of Eunice; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Fontenot; parents Homer and Lolita Deshotels; and three sisters, Gussie Guillory, Rosa Guillory, and Nazel Leger.

The family request that visiting hours be observed Thursday, November 26, 2009 from 3:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and again on Friday, November 27, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
