Ville Platte It is with great sadness that the family of Hardy Herman Ardoin, 86 announces his passing on Wednesday, August 5, 2009. Rite of Committal will be held Saturday, August 8, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in Ardoin Cemetery in Pine Prairie with his great nephew Jeff Johnson officiating.

Hardy served in Sea Bees for four years and was an engineer for Southern Pacific Railroad until his retirement. He was a member of A.A. for 45 years. Uncle Bill, as he was called by his nieces and nephews was kind hearted, generous, witty, and fun loving. A loving husband, brother, and uncle, Hardy will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Mary Cobin Ardoin of New Orleans and two sisters, Dorothy Johnson of Easton and Ruth Cormier of Vinton.

Family request that visiting hours be observed Friday, August 7, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
