Ville Platte It is with great sadness that the family of Gwendolyn Fontenot Bacon, 60 announces her passing on Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at Rapides Regional Medical Center. A Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Thursday, March 12, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. at Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel in Ville Platte. Rite of Committal will follow in the Belaire Cove Cemetery in the community of Belaire Cove with Bro. Brian Dore Celebrant.

Gwen is survived by one son, Clint Fontenot and wife, Mitzi of Grand Prairie; three brothers, Junior Chapman of Chalmette, Steve Chapman of Harahan, and Chris Chapman of Chalmette; one sister, JoAnn Nunez of Violet, La.; and one grandchild, McKenzie Fontenot of Grand Prairie.

She was preceded in death by one son, Joseph Ricky Fontenot.

Family request that visiting hours be observed Thursday, March 12, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. until time of services.
