Gordon Hudson

VILLE PLATTE - A Funeral Service will be held for Gordon Alvin Hudson,75, at 1:00 PM on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Ville Platte, LA.  Burial will take place in Gates of Heaven Cemetery.

Alvin passed away on peacefully on Sunday, January 22, 2023, at Bayou Vista in Bunkie, LA. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Alvin was a lounge owner and he once owned the Kicking Chicken, Corner Pocket, and Al’s Hide-Away.  He enjoyed riding motorcycles and raising pigeons and horses.  Alvin will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Margie Hudson of Lafayette; daughters, Patricia Pellerin and husband, Dennis of Bayou Chicot and Elizabeth Hudson of Carencro; sons, Chad Hudson and wife, Andrea of Point Blue and Gregory Hudson and wife, Tricia of Bayou Chicot; 15 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren; and sister, Cynthia Clark and husband, Doug of Church Point.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Abe Prudhomme and Viola Bertrand and brothers, Kermit Jagneaux and Jerry Dale Benoit.

Visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Ville Platte on Thursday, January 26, 2023, from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM.
