VILLE PLATTE - Funeral services will be held at 5:00 PM at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Pine Prairie on Sunday, October 14, 2018 for Glen Morgan, 73, who passed away on Friday, October 12, 2018 in Pine Prairie.

Father Kenneth Mayne will conduct funeral services.

Burial will take place in the St. Peter's Cemetery.

Glen was born on November 10, 1944 in Oakdale, Louisiana to Lester and Melda Marcantel Morgan. He graduated from Oakdale High School and attended Alexandria Technical School. Glen was a welder and machinist by trade in various plants. He also raised cattle which allowed him to work in the outdoors where he loved to be. When not working, Glen enjoyed squirrel hunting and growing vegetables in his garden.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Brenda Fontenot Morgan, sons Jeffery Morgan and spouse Jason Waguespack of New Orleans, Keith Morgan and wife Shelia of Chataigner, and Rhon Morgan and wife Belinda of Oakdale, daughter Lori Chapelle and husband Bradley of Pine Prairie, brothers Clifton Morgan of Oberlin and Marvin Morgan of Oakdale, and sisters Myrtis Bond of Oakdale and Doris Stanley of Oakdale. Glen is also survived by his grandchildren: Leslie Lewis and husband Chad, Ian Morgan and companion Kaylen Guillory, Josie Morgan, Ty Morgan, Olivia Chapelle, William Chapelle, Mia Morgan, Noah Morgan, Tyler VanZandt, Marley VanZandt, and Caroline Morgan and great grandchildren: Easton Lewis, Addie Lewis, Shea Lewis, and Sophia Morgan.

He is preceded in death by his parents Lester and Melda Morgan, brothers Wilson, Jerry, and Kenneth Morgan and sisters Lou Ella Roberts, Evelyn Carrier and Mable Cruise.

The family requests that visitation be observed at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Pine Prairie on Saturday, October 13 from 6:30 PM until time of service on Sunday.
