VILLE PLATTE It is with great sadness that the family of Gheri Nicole Blood, 26, announces her passing on Friday, April 15, 2011. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 17, 2011 at 12:30 PM at Our Lady Queen of all Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte. Rite of Committal will follow in the Gates of Heaven Cemetery. Fr. Mario Romero will officiate services.
Gheri, a caring nurse and loving wife, daughter, stepmother, sister, and aunt will be remembered by her husband Phillip Blood of St. Landry, her parents John Jerry Deville and Drucella Aguillard both of Ville Platte, fatherinlaw Ralph Blood and wife Cindy of Lone Pine, motherinlaw Barbara Jenkins of Port Allen, maternal grandmother Emalise Fontenot of Point Blue, stepdaughter Grace Blood of St. Francisville, sisters Amanda Foret and husband Stacey of Ville Platte, Valerie Morris of Pine Prairie, and Ashley Johnson and husband John of Ville Platte, and numerous nieces and nephews.
At the request of the family, visitation will take place at Ardoins Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Saturday, April 16, 2011 from 1:00 PM until 10:00 PM and again on Sunday, April 17, 2011 from 8:00 AM until time of service.
Ardoins Funeral Home in Ville Platte is in charge of arrangements.
