Ville PlatteIt is with heavy hearts that the family of Femie B. Soileau, 93, announces her passing on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at her residence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 3:00 PM Friday, May 4, 2012 at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte. Rite of Committal will follow at the Evangeline Memorial Park Cemetery with Fr. Mitchell Guidry as Celebrant.
A loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother Femie, a native of Vidrine, is survived by her beloved husband of seventy two years, Percy Soileau. She also leaves behind three loving sons: Robley Soileau of Denham Springs, Kenneth Soileau of Marquette, MI. and Dale Soileau of Ville Platte. She will also be sadly missed by her daughterinlaw, Belva Soileau of Ville Platte. Her memory will most certainly be cherished by her ten grandchildren and her twelve great grandchildren they were truly her greatest joy in life.
She now joins in Heaven her beloved parents: Avenant and Marie Landreneau Brunet and one son, Rodrick Soileau. Also awaiting her arrival are her brothers, Elius Doc Bruney and Elyas Bruney and her sisters, Clementine Deshotel, Emma Johnson, Francis Brunet, Narcille Duos, Lelma Deshotel, Marie Fruge and Aventine Johnson.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home of Ville Platte beginning Thursday, May 3, 2012 at 1:00 PM and continue until the time of services Friday afternoon. A Rosary will be recited in her honor Thursday evening at 7:00 PM.
