PINE PRAIRIE - Funeral services will be held with a 2:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Pine Prairie on Wednesday, October 17, 2018, for Evette Marie Baker, 50, who passed away on Monday, October 15, 2018 in Pine Prairie, LA.

Father Billy Massie will be celebrant of the mass and will conduct the funeral services.

Burial will take place in the Cedar Grove Cemetery in Pine Prairie.

Evette Marie Baker was born on January 17, 1968 in Ville Platte, LA to Kenneth Charles Baker and Marie Peggy Pitre Baker.

She is survived by her mother, Peggy Baker of Pine Prairie; her brother, Shane Paul Baker and fiance Deanna Marie Baughman of Bayou Chicot; maternal grandmother, Maudry Pitre of Ville Platte; her aunt and uncle, Annette Deville and Todd Deville of Ville Platte; aunt and god mother, Carla Fontenot and uncle Carol Fontenot of Ville Platte and numerous cousins.

She is preceded in death by her father, Kenneth C. Baker; maternal grandfather, Leo Pitre; paternal grandparents, Chester and Ruby Fontenot.

The family requests that visitation be observed at St. Peter Catholic Church Hall in Pine Prairie on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 10:00 PM. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM on Tuesday. Visitation will continue Wednesday from 8:00 AM until time of service.
