VILLE PLATTEIt is with great sadness that the family of Eva Johnson,95, announces her passing on Thursday, March 3, 2011 at Mercy Regional Medical Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at 2 PM at St. Theresa Catholic Church in St. Landry. Rite of Committal will be followed in the St. Theresa Cemetery in St. Landry with Father Richard Broussard as Celebrant.
A loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister, Eva will loving remembered by two sons, Bernel Fontenot and wife Jane of Opelousas, and Harold Fontenot of Bayou Chicot, one daughter Linda Prima of St. Landry, one sister, Vergie Manuel of Lake Charles, and four grandchildren, Dr. Chris Fontenot, Jill Mc Queen, Amy Perry, and Michael Prima and seven great grandchildren.
She now joins in Heaven her husbands, Arthur Fontenot and Robert Johnson, and her parents, Armellion and Izola Fontenot, her brothers, Curley Fontenot and Nathan Fontenot, her sister Mary Hobbs and one soninlaw, Vance Prima.
The family request that visiting hours be observed Friday, March 4, 2011 from 3:00 PM until 10:00 PM, a rosary will be recited Friday evening at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue Saturday, March 5, 2011 at 8:00 AM until time of service.
