VILLE PLATTE It is with great sadness that the family of Eva Mae Brown, 83, announces her passing on Sunday, January 9, 2011 at Mercy Regional Hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 10, 2011 at 1:30 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ville Platte. Rite of Committal will follow in the M. B. Fontenot Cemetery with Father Sensat celebrant.
A loving mother, grandmother, and sister, Eva will be lovingly remembered by three sons Tony Brown and wife Gayle of Ville Platte, Larry Brown and wife Jana of Ville Platte, and David Brown and wife Angela of Lewisburg, one daughter Winna Smith of Chataigner, one sister Carrie Saucier of Ville Platte, nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren.
She now joins in heaven her parents Albert and Ozia Catoire, her husband Mayuse Brown, her brothers Curry Catoire and Archange Catoire, and her sister Mary Doucet.
The family request that visiting hours be observed Sunday, January 9, 2011 from 4:00 PM until time of service. A rosary will be recited on Sunday at 6:30 PM.
