Ville Platte - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Ethel Ortego Soileau at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church on Monday, November 21, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Father Tom Voorhies will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Evangeline Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Soileau, age 89, a resident of Ville Platte, passed away on Friday, November 18, 2016.

Visitation will be held from 3:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 20, 2016. It will reopen at 8:00 a.m. - until time of services on Monday, November 21, 2016 at Ardoin Funeral Home of Ville Platte. A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 20, 2016.

She is survived by her son, Robert Dale Soileau; her grandchildren, Debbie Lafleur, Kirk Soileau, Mikey Soileau, Nicole Soileau, Rebecca Soileau and Hunter Soileau; her great-grandchildren, Christopher Lafleur, Joshua Lafleur, Elizabeth Coleman, Kyle Lafleur, Lane Soileau, Addison Soileau, Maddison Vidrine, Brianna Vidrine, Gavin Navarro and David Soileau; her great-great-grandchildren, Cooper Lafleur and Ana Lafleur; and her siblings, Burke Ortego, Norma Huget, Dorris Carter and Johnny Ortego.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Soileau; her parents, Sydney and Elma Fontenot Ortego; her son, Nicky Soileau; and her siblings, Bernedette Ortego, Hubert Ortego, Wilson Ortego, Myrtel Turner, Nathan Ortego, Sydney Ortego, Jr., Mary Thibodeaux and Sylvan Ortego.

Arrangements are entrusted to Ardoin's Funeral Home of Ville Platte, LA.
