Slaughter Funeral services for Mr. Eric John Saltzman, 54, will be held Thursday, September 18, 2008 at 1:30pm in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Platin Cemetery. Fr. Gene Tremie will officiate the services.

Mr. Saltzman, a native of Ville Platte and a resident of Slaughter, died Sunday, September 14, 2008.

A loving son, father, grandfather, and brother he is survived by two sons, Justin John Saltzman of Baton Rouge and Jeremy Thomas Saltzman of Baton Rouge; one daughter, LaDaina Jean Saltzman of Baton Rouge; father, Andrus J. Saltzman of Beaumont; mother, Bettie G. McCauley of Slaughter; one brother, Michael Vaughn Saltzman of Slaughter; one sister, Sue Fontenot of Slaughter; three uncles, Burke Guillory and wife, Brenda of Lafayette, Manson Saltzman and wife, Annalee of Gueydan, and Joe Saltzman and wife, Alice of Thibodeaux; and three grandchildren, Nevaeh Saltzman, Devin Saltzman, and Mason Thomas.

Visiting hours will be observed Wednesday, September 17, 2008 from 11am until 8pm and again on Thursday from 8am until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 7pm Wednesday.
