VILLE PLATTE It is with great sadness that the family of Emily Soileau, 74, announces her passing on Saturday, September 3, 2011 at Lafayette General Hospital. A mass of Christian burial will take place on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ville Platte. Rite of committal will follow in the St. Peters Cemetery in Grand Prairie.
A loving mother, sister, and grandmother, Emily leaves behind to cherish her memory two sons James Soileau and wife Carol of Spring, Texas and Glenn Soileau of Spring, Texas, two daughters Diana McDaniel and husband Taduise of Ville Platte and Anna Pierce and husband Jerry of Spring, Texas, one sister Annette Cary of Ville Platte, ten grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.
She now joins in heaven her beloved husband Winston Red Soileau and her parents Marshall and Eva OConner.
At the request of the family, visitation will take place at Ardoins Funeral Home in Ville Platte Monday, September 5, 2011 from 10:00 AM until 10:00 PM and again on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 from 8:00 AM until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM Monday evening.
