Ville Platte Funeral services will be held Monday, July 16, 2007 at 4pm in First Baptist Church in Ville Platte. Burial will follow in the Gates of Heaven Cemetery. Bro. Kevin West will officiate the services.

Mr. Fontenot, a resident of Belaire Cove, died Saturday, July 14, 2007 in Ville Platte Medical Center.

Survivors include two sons, Earl Fontenot and wife, Diana Manuel Fontenot of Belaire Cove and Dale Fontenot of Lafayette; five daughters, Beverly Fontenot Weeks and husband, Edward of Ville Platte, Brenda Fontenot Rasberry and husband, Tommy of Jennings, Debra Fontenot Lafleur and husband, Kary of Ville Platte, Darlene Fontenot Leblanc of Scott, and Shellie Fontenot of Ville Platte; one sister, Annie Loyce Briscoe of Gonzales; thirteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Oday and Amy Fontenot, one brother and three sisters.

Visitation will be held Sunday, July 15, 2007 from 4pm until time of services on Monday.
