VILLE PLATTE It is with great sadness that the family of Elva Soileau, 85, announces her passing on June 08, 2011 at her residence she was surrounded by her family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 10, 2011 at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church at 1:30 P.M. Rite of Committal will follow in the M. B. Fontenot Cemetery with Father Romero officiating.
A truly dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister, Elva will be lovingly remembered by her husband, J. Y. Soileau of Ville Platte, her daughter Glenda and husband James Ortego also of Ville Platte, one sister, Rowena Lafleur of Morgan City and her five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Attile Fusilier, her son Dwaine Soileau, her daughter Pamela Soileau and her grandson Chad Ortego.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Thursday, June 09, 2011 from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM. and again on Friday, June 10, 2011 until time of services. A Rosary will be recited Thursday evening at 6:30 P. M.
