VILLE PLATTE – Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Ville Platte, on Saturday, May 29, 2021 for Elta M. Dupre, 80, who passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.
Brother Kevin West will conduct services.
Burial will take place in Vandenburg Cemetery.
Elta M. Dupre was born on September 2, 1940 in L’anse Aux Pailles to Lee Charlie and Mary Lou Perron Charlie. Elta enjoyed playing Pokeno and Bingo. She loved spending time outdoors tending to her garden and fishing. She was wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. Her greatest pride and joy was her family. Taking care of her family and spending time with them was very important to her.
She is survived by her daughters, Pam Franques and husband, Jody of Bayou Chicot, Sue Ortis and husband, Todd of Pine Prairie; son, Tony Dupre and wife, Roxanne of Bayou Chicot; adopted daughter, Monique Way and husband Charles of Turkey Creek; grandchildren, Michelle Franques, Maegan Franques, Josiah Ortis, James Dupre, Jacob Dupre, Ashton Dupre, April Godwin, Brittany Dupre, Elizabeth Dupre, Andrea Jackson and Rudy Way; fourteen great grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Lavergne of Ville Plate, Elta Lee Richard and husband Don, of Lawtell, and Eva Charlie and longtime partner Jenny Lafluer of Plaisance; brother, Rodger Charlie and wife, Liz of Ville Platte; and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Verbis Dupre; parents, Lee Charlie and Mary Lou Perron Charlie; grandson, Mark Sanchez; brother, Frank Charlie; and godchild, Scotty Richard.
At the request of the family, visitation will take place at Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Ville Platte of Saturday, May 29, 2021 from 12:00 PM until 3:00 PM. A rosary will be recited by Deacon Chuck at 2:00 PM.
