Ville Platte It is with great sadness that the family of Elrise Boy Landreneau, 72 announces his passing on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at his residence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, March 25, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Holy Spririt Chapel in Vidrine. Rite of Committal will follow in the New St. Anns Mausoleum in Mamou.
Boy, as most people knew him, was known for his giving self who loved to help others. A mechanic by trade and an avid vegetable gardener by hobby he had a special love for his children and grandchildren. He considered them the joy of his life. Boy was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Faye Hackett Landreneau of Ville Platte two sons, Nason Eric Landreneau of New Orleans and Leon Blaine Landreneau and his wife, Barbara of Vidrine one daughter, Beate Landreneau West and her husband, Kenneth of Vidrine four step daughters, Charlene Guillory, Sheila Hackett, Sharon Johnson, and Fonda Hackett all of Ville Platte two brothers, Jessie Landreneau of Vidrine and Clayton Landreneau of Texas City, Tx. one sister, Nettie Campbell of Pine Prairie six grandchildren, five great grandchildren and numerous step grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Napoleon and Cecile Mayeaux Landreneau and three brothers, Jimmie Landreneau, George Allen Landreneau, and Lessie Landreneau.
The family request that visiting hours be observed Thursday, March 25, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. until time of services and a rosary will be recited at 11:00 a.m. Thursday morning.
