VILLE PLATTE It is with great sadness that the family of Elna F. Pitre, 93, announces her passing on Tuesday, June 07, 2011 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Ville Platte. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 3:00 P.M. Rite of Committal will follow at B. J. Fontenot Cemetery in Ville Platte with Father Clinton Sensat officiating.
As a wife, mother and sister, Elna will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Mrs. Rayford Delores Chapman of the Belaire Cove community and her brother, Joseph
Tee Joe Fontenot of Ville Platte.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Madison Pitre and her parents, Araste and Marante Fontenot. They have awaited her arrival with full hearts and open arms.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Wednesday, June 08, 2011 from 11:00 A.M. until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 2:30 P.M. on that same day.
