VILLE PLATTE-Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM for Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Pitre, 63, at Ardoin's Funeral Home on Thursday, October 5, 2017. Mrs. Pitre passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Mercy Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loved ones.

Deacon Gene Leboeuf will be conducting the funeral services.

Rite of Committal will follow at St. Peter Cemetery in Grand Prairie.

Ann never met a stranger. She enjoyed helping people, and was loved by everyone she met. Ann enjoyed spending time outdoors tending to her plants and
garden. Her love for nature also made her very fond of animals. Ann worked as a seamstress at Holloway for years and managed Bill's Dollar Store. She was currently employed with PJF Incorporated and served as secretary for Cazans Lake.

Her memories will live on through her family. She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, LJ Pitre; son, Joe Pitre and fiancé Amanda Ardoin of Bayou Chicot; step-son, Scott James Pitre and fiancé Jennifer York of Opelousas; step daughters, Wendy Pitre of Opelousas and Christie Noel and husband Jason of Port Barre; grandchildren, Austin, Zack, Ryker, Saydi, Gage, Jesa, Michaela, Matthew, Benjamin, Daniel, Brooklyn, Tyler, Madison, Leon and Nina; great-grandchildren, Rylan, Abelyn and Evie-Roe; sister Yvette Rice of Bunkie; and brother, Timothy Bailey of Mamou.

Ann is preceeded in death by her parents James "Doodle Bug" Bailey and Elizabeth Betty Ledoux; infant brother, Keith Baily; and step-father Joseph Rayburn Ledoux.

The family requests that visitation be observed at Ardoin's Funeral Home of Ville Platte on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 from 3:00 PM until time of service on Thursday, October 5, 2017. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, October 4, 2017.
