Ville Platte It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Elia Ortego announces her passing on Sunday, September 26, 2010 at 6:45 p.m. at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Ville Platte. She was 91 years old. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will follow in the Gates of Heaven Cemetery with Fr. Mario Romero Celebrant.
Elia will be lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her especially her two step daughters, Verona Soileau of Vidrine and Faye Lavergne and husband, Garry of Lanse Aux Pailles one brother, Ernest Comeaux of Scott two sisters, Yvonne Vidrine of Ville Platte and Mary Ann Elkins of Scott seven step grandchildren, twenty five step great grandchildren, and six step great great grandchildren.
She now rest in heaven with her beloved husband, Dillard Ortego and her parents, Jules and Amy Comeaux.
The family request that visiting hours be observed Monday, September 27, 2010 from 2:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Monday evening.
