VILLE PLATTE It is with great sadness that the family of Eleanor L. Soileau, 67, announces her passing on Saturday, May 2, 2009 at her residence in Lecompte. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, May 4, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church in St. Landry with Father Richard Broussard officiating. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Theresa Cemetery in St. Landry.
Eleanor worked for Savoy Family Hospice in Mamou for 19 years. A loving mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother, Elenor is survived by a daughter, Debra Guillory and husband, Dale of Lecompte; two brothers, J.O. Thibodeaux of St. Landry and E.J. Thibodeaux of Lake Charles; one sister, Ola Guilbeau of Carencro; eight grandchildren, Jessica Guillory McCoy, Shallie Soileau Carson, J.D. Guillory, Jacob Soileau, Kyle Quinn, Laurie Soileau, Chasity Soileau, and Sheree Guillory; five great grandchildren; one daughter in-law, Anna Moran of St. Landry; son in-law, Mark Whittington of Ville Platte; and brother in-law, Roland Walker of St. Landry.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Allen J. Moran and Harold Soileau; parents, Ellis and Louisa Thibodeaux; son, Robert W. Moran; daughter, Ellen L. Whittington; and sister, Jane Walker.
The family request that visiting hours be observed on Sunday, May 3, 2009 from 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. at Ardoins Funeral Home in Ville Platte and again on Monday, May 4, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services. A Rosary will be recited Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m.
