VILLE PLATTE- It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Elaine Vidrine, 67, announces her passing on Tuesday, April 7, 2015. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at 2 PM at Calvary Baptist Church in Bayou Chicot. A burial will follow in Ferguson Cemetery in Bayou Chicot with Pastor Chad Bolfa as celebrant.
A loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend, Elaine will be missed by her loving husband of 49 years, John Ed Vidrine of Opelousas, sons; Lafe Vidrine of Opelousas and Shane Vidrine and wife Michelle of Opelousas, daughters; Rhonda Vidrine of Opelousas and Sandy Olivier and husband Mark of Opelousas, brothers; Leroy Rollins, Malcolm Rollins, Duke Rollins, and George Rollins all of Bayou Chicot and sisters; Betty Zager, Ruth Fontenot, and Christine Kardish all of Bayou Chicot. Also left behind to cherish her memory are her 7 grandchildren: Mark Olivier II and wife Julia, Kelsey Olivier, Katelyn Taylor and husband Kainin, Valerie Doucet, Victoria Doucet, Tristen Marks, C.J. Guillory and her 2 great grandchildren: Prim Olivier and Maddex Martinez.
Pallbearers will include Mark Olivier, Mark Olivier II, Neil Vidrine, Shane Wiltz, Kainin Taylor and Matthew Vidrine and Honorary Pallbearers will be Lafe Vidrine, Tristen Marks, C.J. Gullory and A.J. Wiltz
A special thanks to Alitha "daughter", Shane "son" and A.J. "grandson".
Elaine will now reunite in heaven with her parents, Leon and Anita Rollins, brother, Dudley Rollins and sisters, Lillian Kardish, Lilly Fontenot and Helen Winn. They will be awaiting her arrival with open arms and joyous hearts.
At the request of the Vidrine family, a visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at 11 AM and remain open until time of services on Thursday, April 9, 2015. Words of Comfort will be recited in Mrs. Vidrine's honor at 6 PM on Wednesday, April 8, 2015.
All arrangements have been entrusted to Ardoin's Funeral Home of Ville Platte.
