Funeral services for Edney Deville Soileau, 85, will be held Saturday, September 30, 2006 at 11:30 am in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Evangeline Memorial Park. Fr. Gene Tremie will officiate the services.

Ms. Soileau, a resident of Ville Platte and a native of Belaire Cove, died Thursday, September 28, 2006 at 10:15pm at her residence.

Survivors include one daughter, Gloria S. Tate of Ville Platte, five grandchildren; Marlene Tate of Baton Rouge, Mitch Tate of Lafayette, Gary Tate of Lafayette, Julie Tate Buller of Lafayette, and Debra Tate Galloway of Ville Platte; and six great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Friday, September 29, 2006 from 1:30pm until 10pm and on Saturday 8am until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 6pm on Friday.

Ms. Soileau is preceded in death by her husband, Fedrick Soileau; a brother, Marcialle Deville; and a son in law, George Tate.
