Ville Platte Funeral services for Mrs. Edna Stanford Carrier, 84, will be held Thursday, July 19, 2007 at 3pm in Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Evangeline Memorial Cemetery. Fr. Neal McNeill will officiate the services.

Mrs. Carrier, a resident of Ville Platte, died Tuesday, July 17, 2007 in Heritage Manor Nursing Home.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Jerry Janell Foret of Ville Platte, Mrs. Samuel Margie Lemoine of Ville Platte, and Pat Mendoza and husband, J.R. of Harvey; four brothers, Lee Stanford of Lake Charles, Eddie Stanford, Jr. of Opelousas, Andrew Stanford of Wichita, Tx., and Warren Stanford of Opelousas; three sisters, Anna Carrier of Imperial Beach, Ca., Nelma Pellerin of Lake Charles, and Wilda Weisse of South Carolina; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husand, Felton Carrier and a brother Garland Stanford.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 18, 2007 from 4pm until 10pm and on Thursday from 8am until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 7pm on Wednesday.
