VILLE PLATTEIt is with great sadness that the family of Edgar LaFleur, 88, announces his passing on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home of Ville Platte. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, May 18, 2012 at 9:00 AM at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte. Rite of Committal will follow in the B. J. Fontenot Cemetery with Father Mitchell Guidry as Celebrant.
A loving brother and uncle, Edgar leaves behind one brother, Simon LaFleur and his wife, Versie of Ville Platte and a host of loving nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Mr. LaFleur was a Merchant Marine having proudly served his country with United States Army he was a true patriot in every sense of the word.
He now joins in Heaven: his beloved wife, Ellie Rozas LaFleur and his parents, Laurent and Felicia LaFleur. They most certainly await his arrival with open arms and joyous hearts.
At the request of the family visitation will take place at Ardoins Funeral Home of Ville Platte beginning Thursday, May 17, 2012 at 5:00 PM and continuing until 8:00 PM that evening and again Friday, May 18, 2012 from 8:00 AM until time of the service. A Rosary will be recited in his honor at 6:30 PM Thursday evening.
