Ville Platte It is with great sadness that the family of Eddie Soileau, 93, announces his passing on Thursday, December 10, 2009 at Prairie Manor Nursing Home in Pine Prairie. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, December 12, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Sinsat officiating. Rite of Commital will follow at Evangeline Memorial Park.

A loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, and great great grandfather, Eddie will be lovingly remembered by his son Paul Victor Soileau of Plaisance, his daughter Mrs. Linda Soileau Fontenot and husband Terrell of Ville Platte, his 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 4 great, great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife Ollie Mae Ortego Soileau, and his parents Adama and Dora Soileau.

The family request that visiting hours be observed Friday, December 11, 2009 from 12:00 noon until 9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until time of services at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Friday December 12, 2009.
