TURKEY CREEK It is with great sadness that the family of Douglas Monroe Milam, 68, announces his passing on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at his residence. Funeral Services will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel, Friday, November 25, 2011 at 2:00 in the afternoon. Burial will follow in the Campbell Cemetery in Pine Prairie with Pastor Aubrey Whitlock officiating.
A loving father, grandfather and brother, Douglas is survived by his beloved daughters: Patricia Dickson and her husband, Charles, of Turkey Creek, April Breaux of Turkey Creek and Jennifer Paul of Columbus, Georgia. He also leaves behind to cherish his memory, one brother Edward Milam, also of Columbus, Georgia. He will most certainly be missed by his grandchildren: Scott Dickson, Michael Dickson, Joshua Dickson, Chandler Breaux, Chelsea Breaux and Christa Breaux, and his great children: Madelyn Dickson, Landon Dickson and Grace Dickson. They were truly the light of his life.
He now joins in Heaven his dear wife, Marjorie Campbell Milam and his parents, Fonzel and Alene Milam they await his arrival with open arms and joyous hearts.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Ville Platte beginning Thursday, November 24, 2011 at 5:00 PM until 11:00 PM. Ardoins will reopen at 8:00 AM Friday morning and remain so until after the Chapel Services.
