PINE PRAIRIE It is with great sadness that the family of Dorothy Yielding, 82, announces her passing on Friday, April 26, 2013 at Prairie Manor Nursing Home of Pine Prairie. A Funeral of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, April 28, 2013 at Friendship Baptist Church of Pine Prairie. Burial will follow in the Friendship Baptist Cemetery with Pastor Todd Richardson officiating the services.
A loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister, Dorothy leaves behind her three beloved daughters: Irene Duplechin, Diane Vidrine and Janet Doyle and her soninlaw, Delmo Doyle, all of whom live in Pine Prairie. Her memory will most certainly be cherished by her eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren they were her greatest joy in life. Also left to mourn her passing: one brother, Johnny Nugent of Pine Prairie and one sister, Gladys Marks of Opelousas.
She will now reunite in Heaven with her husband, Harvey Yielding and her parents, John and Melinda Nugent. They await her arrival with open arms and joyous hearts.
At the request of the Yielding family, visitation will take place at Friendship Baptist Church of Pine Prairie beginning at 10:00 AM Saturday, April 27, 2013 and will continue until 10:00 PM that evening.Visitation will resume at 8:00 AM Sunday morning until 2:00 PM when the service will begin.
