VILLE PLATTE - It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Donna Kathryn McCauley, 53, announces her passing on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Prairie Manor Nursing Home in Pine Prairie. A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady Queen of all Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte with Fr. Mitchell Guidry officiating services.
Donna was known as a sweet and loving person who enjoyed playing games of Uno and Skip-Bo with her stuffed animals in which she won every game. She was very athletic and participated in the Special Olympics in the running and swimming events.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her father Ronald Earl McCauley, Sr., brother Ronald E. McCauley, Jr. and wife Krista of Des Allemands, Louisiana, and her sisters Carmen Sampognaro and husband Joe of Metairie, Renee Manaris and husband Bill of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, Phyllis Richards of Burleson, Texas, and Stephanie Dupuis of Mamou. She will also be greatly missed by her twelve nieces and nephews and seven great nieces and nephews.
She now resta in Heaven with her mother Betty Wayne Brunet McCauley.
A rosary will be prayed in her honor at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church at 10:30 AM on Saturday.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Evangeline ARC c/o Bobby Dupre 2128 East Main Street, Ville Platte, Louisiana 70586.
