Donetta Fontenot

VILLE PLATTE – Funeral Services will be held at a 11:00 AM, Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte on Saturday, July 18, 2020, for Donetta Kay Fontenot, 65, who passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 in Ville Platte, LA  surrounded by her loving family.

Father Mitch Guidry, Pastor of Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church, will be celebrant of the mass and conduct funeral services.

Burial will take place in Gates of Heaven Cemetery.

Donetta is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Jay Winston Fontenot; three daughters, Nanci Vandevelde of St. Landry, Kay Fontenot of Louisville, KY, and Christine Hanks of Geuydan; nine grandchildren, Ryan, Kelsea, Hunter, and Josie Vandevelde, Marissa, Madlen, and Ashlene Mallett, and Collins and Lexi Hanks; sister, Lisa Bertrand; and four brothers, Keith, Michael, Brian, and Elvin Fontenot.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Mason Fontenot and Marie Enola Fontenot; and brother, Lawrence Fontenot.

The family requests that visitation be observed at Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Ville Platte on Friday, July 17, 2020 from 12:00 PM until 5:00 PM.  A rosary will be recited by Deacon Ben Soileau at 4:00 PM.  Visitation will resume on Saturday, July 18, 2020 from 8:00 AM until time of service.
