VILLE PLATTEIt is with great sadness that the family of Donald Ray McDaniel, 58, announces his passing on June 20, 2011 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Ville Platte. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 23, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte. Rite of Committal will follow in the Fontenot Cemetery with Father Mario Romero as Celebrant.
A loving son, brother, co worker and friend, Donald will be sadly missed by those who knew him best. He leaves behind his beloved mother, Eula Mae Chapman, his brothers, Richard McDaniel and his wife Sandra of Ville Platte, Barry McDaniel, of Ville Platte and his sister, Sandra McDaniel also of Ville Platte. Donald worked for the Federal Government as an agronomist for thirty years with the United States Department of Agriculture.
He was preceded in death by his father Andrew J. McDaniel Sr. and two brothers, Andrew J. McDaniel Jr. and David McDaniel.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral in Ville Platte on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 from 11:00 AM until 10:00 PM and again on Thursday, June 23, 2011 from 8:00 AM until time of services. A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday evening at 6:30 PM.
