Deborah "Debbie" Bourque

VILLE PLATTE – Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte, on Monday, August 16, 2021, for Deborah “Debbie” Kay P. Bourque, 68, who passed away on Thursday, August 12, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.

Father Mitch Guidry, Pastor of Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church, will be celebrant of the mass and conduct funeral services.

Burial will take place in M.B. Fontenot Cemetery.

Deborah “Debbie” Kay P. Bourque was born on February 3, 1953, in Ville Platte, LA to Tom Prudhomme, Sr. and Gurcie Fontenot Prudhomme.  A lifelong resident of Ville Platte, she was a graduate of Evangeline Academy. She was a career insurance agent and spent many years selling insurance for Jimmy Vidrine Insurance.  Debbie’s beautiful smile was contagious, and she could brighten anyone’s day.  She was known to be very courteous, kind, and loving.  She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and sister.  Her greatest pride and joy was her family.  She loved her family dearly. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Bourque; three sons, Jeremy Bourque and fiancé, Heidi Bordelon, Coby Bourque and fiancé, Robin Lafleur, and Shane Bourque; grandchildren, Tristan Bourque, Tucker Bourque, Katelyn Bourque, Carley Bourque, and Bryson Bourque; brother, Tom Prudhomme, Jr.; and sister, Pamela Sue Ortego.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Tom Prudhomme, Sr. and Gurcie Fontenot Prudhomme and brother, Richard Flynn Prudhome.

At the request of the family, visitation will take place at Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Ville Platte on Sunday, August 15, 2021, from 10:00 AM until 9:00 PM.  A Rosary will be recited by Deacon Candidate Tim Donovan at 6:00 PM on Sunday.  Visitation will resume on Monday, August 16, 2021, from 8:00 AM until time of service.
