VILLE PLATTE It is with great sadness that the family of Deborah Ann Pitre, 59, announces her passing on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Mercy Regional Hospital in Ville Platte. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, December 5, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Our Lady Queen of all Saints Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will follow at the Gates of Heaven Cemetery with Father Gil Dutel as Celebrant.
Deborah loved to read, travel, work in her flower beds, and cook for her family and friends. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she is survived by her husband Ray J. Pitre, Jr. of Ville Platte, three children Alison Aswell of Ville Platte, Jay Aswell of Lafayette, and Derek Aswell and wife Gina of Lafayette, one stepson David Pitre and wife Jodi of West Monroe, two stepdaughters Gwen Landreneau and husband Kevin and Jenny Ortego and husband Scott both of Ville Platte, three brothers Donnie Perron and wife Cynthia of Port Barre, Gerard Perron and wife Loretta of Opelousas, and David Perron and wife Caroline of Pass Christian, Mississippi, seven grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.
Deborah now joins in heaven her parents Vincent and Marie Perron.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held Sunday, December 4, 2011 from 2:00 PM until 10:00 PM and again on Monday, December 5, 2011 from 8:00 AM until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM Sunday evening.
