Ville Platte Funeral services for Mr. Dale Russell Fusilier, Sr., 86, will be held Friday, June 6, 2008 at 12:30pm in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Evangeline Memorial Cemetery. Fr. Josh Guillory will officiate the services.

Mr. Fusilier, a resident of Ville Platte, died Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at 7:10pm at his residence. He loved to fish, an avid outdoors man and loved LSU sports, but mostly loved life. He was also a WWII veteran having served in the Coast Guard.

Survivors include his wife, Edna Belle Fusilier of Ville Platte; three sons, Benny Fusilier and wife, Norene of Opelousas, Darryl Fusilier and wife, Janell of Watson, and Dale Rusty Fusilier, Jr. and wife, Vicki of Pride; one daughter, Carolyn Daigle and husband, Sammy of Carencro; one brother, L.O. Fusilier of Ville Platte; eleven grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by two grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Thursday, June 5, 2008 from 9am until 10pm and on Friday from 8am until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 7:30pm Thursday.
