Turkey Creek Funeral services for Mr. Curtis Preston Thibodeaux, 74, will be held Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at 2 p.m. in Church of Christ in Turkey Creek. Burial will follow in the Turkey Creek Cemetery. Bro. David Johnson will officiate the services.
Mr. Thibodeaux, a native of Turkey Creek, died Sunday, January 11, 2009 at 4:30 a.m. in Christus St. Patrick Hospital in Lake Charles. Curtis served his country in the Korean War 101 Airborne Para Troopers. He retired from Lake Charles Lumber Co. and owned Thibodeauxs Video in Lake Charles. He loved his family, Toledo Bend, and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He attended Church of Christ in Turkey Creek and also, Church of Christ in Moss Bluff.
A loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, he is survived by his wife, Lou Ann Guillory of Ville Platte now Moss Bluff; three daughters, Patricia Ann Thibodeaux of Moss Bluff, Brenda Lynn Petry and husband, Mark of Moss Bluff; and Sandra Kay Bradley and husband, Bryan of Tuscaloosa, Al.; three grandchildren, Bryan Matthew Bradley, II, Amber Lynn Petry, and Ashley Petrey; one great grandson, Auron Jerome Bradley and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Bertrand and Louise Thibodeaux; one brother, Cladie Thibodeaux and one sister, Vergie Lee Clark
Family request that visiting hours be observed Monday, January 12, 2009 from 4 p.m. until time of services on Tuesday.
