A funeral service will be held for Crystal Renee Johnson at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Ville Platte. Burial will follow at the Jules Cemetery. Crystal passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2023, in Ville Platte. She was born on April 9, 1979, in Ville Platte to Anthony Johnson and Dianna Faye Fontenot Johnson. Crystal was a radiology technician who enjoyed gardening and adored her precious daughter, Ava.

Crystal is survived by: her daughter, Ava Marie Ortego; companion, John Kirk Ortego; mother, Dianna Johnson; maternal grandmother, Hassa Fontenot; brother, Lonnie Johnson; nephews, Cameron King, Alex King, Damien Johnson, and Austin Johnson.

She was preceded in death by: her father, Anthony Wayne Johnson; sister, Shelly Rae Johnson; paternal grandmother, Audrey Deville; and maternal grandfather, Lenus Fontenot.

Visitation will be held from 12:00-3:00 PM on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Ville Platte.
