Funeral services for Cody Griffith, age 86 will be held Monday, April 24, 2017 at the Bayou Chicot Methodist Church at 10:00 am with Rev. Ross Ford officiating. Burial will follow in the Ferguson Cemetery.

Cody, a resident of Bayou Chicot passed away Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Rapides Regional Medical Center. He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Mary Bowlin Griffith of Bayou Chicot; his son, Cody Glenn Griffith & wife Candy of Bayou Chicot; step son, Steven Aucoin & wife, Michelle of Alexandria; two daughters, Karen Sue Griffith and Wanda Dupre & husband, John Ellis of Bayou Chicot; two step daughters, Margaret Briscoe & husband, Guy Manuel of Turkey Creek; one brother, John Griffith & wife, Peggy of Alexandria; and numerous grandchildren & great grandchildren.

Cody is preceded in death by his parents, Dudley Irion Griffith and Anna Holden Griffith; a brother, Earl Griffith; a sister, Barbara Chauvin; and a step daughter, Michelle Aucoin.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Sunday, April 23, 2017 from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Ville Platte.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the United Methodist of Bayou Chicot (P.O. Box 99, LeCompte, LA 71346), or The Children's Home (904 DeVille Lane, Ruston, LA 71270, 318-255-5020).
