Pine Prairie It is with great sadness that the family of Cleve Manuel announces his passing on Monday, January 17, 2011 at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria. He was 73 years old. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Peters Catholic Church in Pine Prairie. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Peters Cemetery with Fr. Richard Broussard Celebrant.
Cleve will be lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him especially his wife, Cathrina Johnson Manuel of Pine Prairie five sons, Charles Chuck Manuel and his wife, Maxine of Ville Platte, Lauteral Manuel and wife, Malena of Ville Platte, Chris Manuel and wife, Melissa of Vidrine, Shawn Manuel and wife, Bridget of Youngsville, and Chad Manuel and wife, Kim of Ville Platte four daughters, Mary Diane Savant of Ville Platte, Katherine Kathy LaBorde of Ville Platte, Deneen Deville and husband, John of Pine Prairie, and Kim Manuel and her partner, Hester Dugas of Lafayette two brothers, Charles Ray Manuel and wife, Loretta of Ville Platte and Roland Manuel and wife, Joyce of Ville Platte and fifteen grandchildren, Jeremy Savant, Robbie and Ben Manuel, Justin and Leah LaBorde, Brandon, Taylor, and Tori Manuel, Aaron, Dillon, and Tre Manuel, Abbie Deville, Tanner, Mya, and Ava Manuel.
He now rests in Heaven with his parents, Cleveland and Evanus Manuel.
At the request of the family, visiting hours will be held Tuesday, January 18, 2011 from 4:00 p.m. until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening.
