VILLE PLATTE- It is with great sadness that the family of Clement Bergeron, Jr., age 67, announces his passing on Monday, March 14, 2016 at his residence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at 11 AM at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Ville Platte. Burial will follow in the Gates of Heaven Cemetery with Father Tom Voorhies, celebrant.
At the request of the Bergeron family, a visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Ville Platte from 3 PM until 11 PM and will be reopen Wednesday morning at 8 AM until time of services. A rosary will be prayed in his honor Tuesday evening at 7 PM.
Mr. Bergeron was a proud Veteran of the United States Army in addition to being a volunteer volunteer firefighter for Ville Platte and a loyal member of Woodmen of the World for 45 years.
A loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend, he will be greatly missed by his wife of 45 years, Gwen Vidrine Bergeron of Ville Platte, son, Joseph Clement Bergeron and wife Keisha of Lafayette, daughter, Julie Celesta Bergeron of Ville Platte, brother, George Wayne Bergeron and wife Marie of Mamou, sisters, Melba Benoit and husband Marvin of Leonville and Martha Elaine Maddox and husband Joe Bob of Lafayette. Also left behind to cherish his memory are his 3 grandchildren, Allison Paige Bergeron, Ellie Claire Bergeron and Drake Joseph Charlie.
He will now reunite in Heaven with his parents, Clement Bergeron, Sr. and Marie Louise Bellard Bergeron.
Arrangements are entrusted to Ardoin's Funeral Home of Ville Platte, La.
