Ville Platte- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church. Father Mitch Guidry will officiate the service.

Ms. Cormier, age 82 and a resident of Ville Platte, passed away on Friday, December 30, 2016.

The family requests that visitation be observed at Ardoin's Funeral Home of Ville Platte from 4:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 3, 2017. It will reopen on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 8:00 a.m. until time of service. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Ms. Cormier loved her garden and she loved to crochet. She will be remembered by her beautiful flowers and the love she had for her animals. Ms. Clarisse will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughter, Suzionna Townsend; sons, Allen Cormier and wife Faye and Gary Cormier and wife Annie; grandchildren, Anthony McDowell and wife DeeDee, Nicole Chatelain and husband Matthew, Anthony Cormier, Travis Cormier and wife Leslie, Toby Cormier and Lauren Poston and husband Zack; and great-grandchildren, Destiny Gautreaux, Jon Chatelain, Kamryn McDowell, Gabbie Cormier, Brason Cormier, Aiden Cormier, Sophia Cormier; and step-grandchildren, Jade, Carson and Mason Poston.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Alex and Allie Manuel Marcantel; sisters, Wylaine Marcantel and Mavis Morien; and brother, Clarence Marcantel.
