VILLE PLATTE It is with great sadness that the family of Clarence Ardoin, 97, announces his passing on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Ville Platte. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 AM Monday, March 12, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ville Platte. Rite of Committal will follow in the B. J. Fontenot Cemetery with Fr. Garrett McIntyre acting as Celebrant.
Clarence retired from the city of Ville Platte after many years of dedicated service and enjoyed to hunt and fish.
A loving father, grandfather and brother, Clarence leaves behind his three sons Russell Ardoin and wife Lois of New Orleans, Clyde Ardoin and wife Trudy of Covington, and Carl Ardoin and wife Carla of Youngsville, his brother Huey Ardoin of Ville Platte, and his sister Marjorie Maude Soileau of Ville Platte. His memory will most certainly be kept alive by his five grandchildren and four great grandchildren they were truly the light of his life.
He now joins in Heaven his wife Bernice Ardoin, his parents, Homer and Heloise Ardoin, his brother Sylvan Ardoin, his sister Anna Belle Fontenot, and his grandson Jentry Ardoin they await his arrival with open arms and joyous hearts.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Ville Platte beginning at 12:00 PM Sunday, March 11, 2012 until 9:00 PM that evening.
The Funeral Home will reopen Monday, March 12, 2012 at 8:00 AM until the time of services. A Rosary will be recited in his honor Sunday evening at 7:00 PM.
