Funeral services for Mr. Christopher James Morgan, 38, will be held Wednesday, January 3, 2006 at 11am in Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Pine Point Cemetery. Fr. Gene Tremie will officiate the services.

Mr. Morgan, a native of Ville Platte and a resident of Morrow, died Sunday, December 31, 2006 at 8:45pm in Lafayette General Medical Center.

Survivors include his wife, Jessie Lynn Fontenot Morgan of Morrow; his father, Donald Ray Morgan and wife, Rebecca of Lawtell; his mother, Janice Lavergne of Ville Platte; three sons, Justin Fontenot of Morrow, Brandon Fontenot of Twenty Nine Palms, Ca; and Cole Morgan of Morrow; one daughter, Erica Morgan of Morrow; four brothers, Floyd Morgan of Ville Platte, Josh Morgan of Ville Platte, Casey Morgan of Lawtell, and Luke Morgan of Lawtell; two sisters, Michelle Morgan of Youngsville and Rachelle Morgan of Port Barre.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Floyd and Marie Morgan and Merrick Black Lavergne and a brother, Corey Lafleur.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 2, 2007 from 10am until 10pm and on Wednesday from 8am until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 7pm Tuesday.
