VILLE PLATTE- It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Christine Jane Ortego, age 63, announces her passing on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Jennings American Legion Hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 21, 2015 at Our Lady Queen of all Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte at 11:30 AM. Burial will follow is the Gates of Heaven Cemetery with Father Mitchell Guidry as celebrant.
Christine will be greatly missed by her sister, Faith Hamilton of Opelousas and is now reunited in Heaven with her parents, Ray and Maxie Ortego, brother, Kenneth Ortego and sister, Maxie Rae Deville.
At the request of the Ortego family, a visitation will be held on Sunday, December 20, 2105 at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Ville Platte from 5 PM until 8 PM and will reopen Monday, December 21, 2105 at 8 AM until time of services. A rosary will be prayed in Ms. Ortego's honor Sunday evening at 6:30.
All arrangements have been entrusted to Ardoin's Funeral Home of Ville Platte.
